โ–ธQuick Start

Five steps take you from opening the app to walking out of the store having paid pennies on the dollar.

1
Set your location. On the Deals tab, type your city/county and choose your state. The Pantry shows the stores and deals available in your shopping region โ€” drugstores nationwide, plus regional grocers like Publix or Kroger where they operate.
2
Browse the deals. Every deal is already matched: sale price, each stackable coupon, store rewards, and the final out-of-pocket price. Sort by "Ending soonest" to catch deals before they expire.
3
Add what you want to your list. Tap + Add to list and Clip coupons. Your list auto-organizes into per-store "runs" for an efficient trip.
4
Open the Insert Finder. It tells you exactly which Sunday & Wednesday newspaper inserts to pull โ€” and which coupon is in each โ€” so you clip once before you shop.
5
Do something with the savings. Use the Grow tab to route your savings into a goal account, or the Resale Ledger to track stock you resell for profit.

1Deals & Your Location

๐Ÿ”ฅ

This Week's Best Deals

Home tab

The heart of the app. Each deal card is a complete "matchup" showing the whole path from shelf price to what you actually pay.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: The green "% OFF" badge is calculated against the shelf price, so it reflects your true discount after everything is stacked.

2The Auto-Stack Engine

โšก

Optimal stacking, one tap

Auto-Stack tab

Coupon stacking is a skill โ€” knowing which manufacturer coupon, store coupon, digital offer and reward can legally combine on one item. The Auto-Stack Engine does it for you.

Pick any product and it lays out the cheapest legal combination step by step: start at the shelf price, buy on sale, clip from the right insert, add the store eCoupon, earn the reward โ€” ending at your final out-of-pocket price and total savings. Then clip the coupons or add it to your list right from the panel.

3Smart Shopping List

๐Ÿ›’

Your trip, organized by store

My List tab

4Coupon Wallet

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ

Digital coupons, linked and ready

Wallet tab

Every coupon you clip lands here, linked to your loyalty cards and ready to auto-apply at checkout. Filter by store card, and watch the expiration tags โ€” coupons expiring soon are flagged in red so nothing goes to waste.

5Newspaper Insert Finder

๐Ÿ“ฐ

Which paper do I buy?

Insert Finder tab

The Pantry knows which real newspaper insert each paper coupon lives in and turns your list into a clip-list.

๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ Reseller tip: When an insert has a coupon you'll stockpile, buy 2โ€“4 copies of that Sunday paper (or source clipped inserts) so you can repeat the deal multiple times.

6Cash-Back Rebates

๐Ÿ’ต

Real cash on top of coupons

Rebates tab

Rebate-app offers (Ibotta-style) that stack on top of your coupon savings. Buy the item, scan your receipt, and the cash back accrues to your pending balance until you cash out to your bank or PayPal.

7Pantry Stockpile

๐Ÿงบ

Buy the deal, not the emergency

Pantry tab

The feature the app is named for. Track what you've stocked up on at rock-bottom prices. Each item shows quantity vs. your target level, and The Pantry flags what's running low so you rebuy only when it hits a stack-worthy deal โ€” never at full price. Filter by "Running low" or "Well stocked," and adjust quantities with the +/โˆ’ controls.

8Savings Dashboard

๐Ÿ“Š

Proof it's working

Savings tab

See the money you've captured: total saved this month, what you actually paid vs. what it would have cost, your average savings rate, and coupons stacked. The weekly chart breaks each trip's savings into coupons, store rewards, and cash-back rebates.

9Grow Your Savings

๐ŸŒฑ

Turn savings into a college fund

Grow tab

The difference between saving money and building it. Instead of quietly respending your coupon savings, route them into goal accounts and watch them compound.

โš ๏ธ Important: Projections are illustrative, not guarantees. Savings-account rates float with the market; investment accounts (529, index funds) can lose value. The 6.5โ€“7% figures are long-run averages, not promises. The Pantry is not a financial advisor โ€” consult a professional before opening accounts.

10Resale Ledger

๐Ÿ’ผ

Track your side-hustle income

Resale Ledger tab

Many extreme couponers resell their scored stock โ€” buying deeply discounted items and selling them near retail. The Resale Ledger keeps a clean record for tax time.

โš ๏ธ Tax note (not tax advice): Net profit may be reportable as self-employment or hobby income depending on your situation and local law, and some places require collecting sales tax on resales. Keep your store receipts filed with this ledger and consult a CPA about reporting, deductions, and obligations where you sell.

โ˜…The Side-Hustler Playbook

Here's how the tabs work together into a repeatable money-making loop:

1
Scout high-margin items. Sort Deals by biggest savings and look for brand-name items with deep stacks โ€” formula, diapers, razors, detergent, health & beauty. These resell best.
2
Multiply the deal. Check the Insert Finder for which inserts hold the coupons, then acquire multiple copies so you can repeat the deal to the store's purchase limit.
3
Run the region. Use the per-store list "runs" to hit several stores in one trip, clearing each store's limit.
4
Stockpile & list. Log surplus in the Pantry, then list items for resale (marketplaces, local groups, bulk buyers).
5
Record every sale in the Resale Ledger. Export a CSV each month for clean books.
6
Reinvest. Route a slice of profit through the Grow tab so your hustle also builds long-term wealth.
๐Ÿ’ก Best resale categories: baby (formula, diapers, wipes, pull-ups), oral care, shaving, vitamins/OTC, laundry & dish. They're expensive at retail, coupon heavily, and don't spoil.

$Putting It On Your Website & Monetizing

The Pantry is a single self-contained HTML file โ€” no server, no database, no accounts โ€” so it drops onto any website or hosting easily. A few notes on customizing and monetizing it.

Customizing the data

Ways to monetize

๐ŸŒ On a surplus-funds / financial-recovery site: The Grow and Savings tabs make a strong companion tool โ€” they show people a concrete, low-risk way to rebuild a cushion from everyday spending. Keep the app's illustrative-only disclaimers visible, and route users to qualified professionals for their specific legal or financial situation.
